No HR leader, however knowledgeable and capable, can perform effectively in isolation. The key to success is the ability to earn the trust and confidence of business leaders. Without this essential ingredient, all HR initiatives are destined to fail. How can such confidence be won and reinforced over time? The secret lies in reinventing yourself to become a trusted advisor.

Now that you have earned a seat at the table, what elements of talent strategy should you evangelise? Today’s landscape offers a baffling array of HR ‘solutions’ competing for leaders’ attention. Should your team focus on formulating succession plans, creating leadership pipelines, performance management, people cost optimisation or the use of AI in HR? This module helps you make sense of the strategic options and navigate a way forward for your organisation.

Organisational Culture is often decisive when it comes to attracting talent and outperforming the competition. But most assume that it cannot be changed because “that’s just the way we do things around here”. Nevertheless, our organisational values, expectations and practices are never static. This module investigates how the organisational culture itself can be shaped and what levers are available to continue evolving it in the right direction.

The faster the world changes, the quicker employees must reskill and upskill to keep up with new requirements. But organisations struggle to keep pace and find the costs difficult to justify. This module focuses on how to create learning environment that is aligned to business objectives, focused on relevant competencies, well-integrated into daily life at work and sought after by employees and managers alike. It also explains the science of learning analytics and how to demonstrate ROI from learning.

Often, HR gets blamed for rigidly implementing legacy policies with no consideration for how the organisation and outside world are changing. Dr Aserkar is a certified on-line faculty at Laureate Online Education and a certified trainer on LINKS online Chain Management Simulation of LINKS USA. Dr Kanchan Mahadev has been a faculty in leading business schools and has more than 30 years of teaching experience in the areas of accounting and finance. She has worked with the Indian School of Business (ISB) as a Senior Researcher in the Centre for Leadership, Innovation and Change. She has also been teaching and mentoring women entrepreneurs on financing strategies and strategic cost management for their enterprises under ISB-Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Ambassadors Program.

She is an advisor on raising finance for SMEs in India. She has been a part of the Punjab Government initiative to train school and college principals in adapting management principles in school leadership. She also mentors individuals on financial statement analysis for the CFA program.

Ravindra Dey has more than 20 years of experience in the corporate as well as the academic sector. He specialises in Organisational Behaviour, Organisation Development, Human Resource Development and Competency Assessment.

He has led programs on a wide range of topics in the field of behavioural sciences, HRD, organisation development and management within the organisation. Some of the training/consulting assignments he has handled are Organisational Effectiveness, Performance Development, Strategy and Vision, Customer Service Excellence, Customer Relations Orientation, Conflict Resolution, Negotiation Skills, Personality Development, Communication and Interpersonal Relationship Workshop, Development and Assessment Centre.

In the corporate sector, Mr Dey has worked as Vice President (HR & Admin), EWDL (Indore, India), General Manager – HR, TCGRE (Mumbai, India), DGM-HR, Wockhardt (Mumbai, India) and Head of HR, OMCI (Mumbai, India).

With over 19 years of professional experience in ICT education, policy, and consulting, Dr Dhrupad Mathur is currently an Associate Professor of IT Management and the Deputy Director of Faculty Management at SP Jain School of Global Management.

Before joining SP Jain, Dr Mathur was a senior consultant for the National e-Governance Plan, working on the e-Government policy initiatives for the Government of India, at the Ministry of Communications & IT. He has been recognised as one of the ‘Emerging Leaders of the Digital World’ by the Diplo Foundation Geneva and as the Hon. Coordinator for Internet Governance Capacity Building in Asia. He has been associated with various regional industry forums as a speaker, program chair and panel member including the Cloud MENA Forum, Smart Data Summit, WAN Summit, DSO Tech Forum and Arab Future Cities Summit.

He has extensive experience in Production, HRD, Marketing and Advertising in his career spanning 44 years. He is a Management Consultant in the field of Productivity Management with major emphasis in the areas of reducing flow times, increasing throughputs, inventory and manpower rationalisation, and increasing flexibility.

He is an Independent Director on the Boards of Essel Propack, Garware Polyester, Kabra Extrusiontechnik, Mutual Industries and Krystal Global Engineering. He is a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) and a Master of Management Studies, specialising in Operations, from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Candidates should bring a minimum of 5 years of work experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in HR.
  • All applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognised university or other approved tertiary institution.

FAQs

Typical MBA courses in HR are intended for students with 0-2 years of work experience and feature curriculum that has evolved little over decades. The SP Jain Executive HR Leadership Program is an advanced-level HR course covering the latest practices, cutting-edge technologies, and their applicability for modern HR. Though grounded in the latest theory, the program is application-oriented for a high degree of relevance for emerging HR leaders. Participants are required to have significant work experience which lends itself to executive-class learning environment.

The Executive HR Leadership Program is designed from the ground up as an online-first experience. SP Jain and Emeritus together hold over a decade’s experience delivering high-impact online learning that receive exceptional feedback ratings from even the most senior participants. Sessions include a range of elements such as group discussions, case studies, participant polls and role plays for exciting challenges every step of the way

Participants should plan for 3 hours of scheduled live online sessions per week, plus another 1-3 hours of reading, case study preparation and project work which can be completed during the week at their convenience.

Every Saturday from 10 AM – 1 PM IST.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate from SP Jain School of Global Management and shall be granted Executive Alumni status.

The course requires a device with the Zoom app and a reliable, high-speed internet connection. Participants are expected to leave their webcams switched on at all times during live sessions and will need on-demand access to a microphone. An internet browser such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge is required to access the Learning Management System, and typical office applications will be needed for homework and project submissions.

We encourage participants to attend all the online classroom sessions live to participate in the learning experience and take advantage of the Q&A time.

For those who are unable to join live for any reason, session recordings will be made available to watch later at their convenience. This will not be counted for the purpose of attendance, however.

Cancellation requests received less than 1 week prior to the commencement of the program will be subject to a charge of 25% of the entire fee amount.

Cancellation requests placed within two weeks after the commencement of the program start date would be eligible for a batch transfer (no refunds).

To obtain the certificate of completion and gain executive education alumni status, participants must achieve a minimum score of 70% in assignments, the Capstone Project evaluation, and meet a minimum attendance criterion of 70%.
